William H. Ross
Age 82, of Oscoda, MI passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI. He was born on July 26, 1941 to the late Perce and Ruth Ross in Buckhannon, WV. Bill graduated with Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Shortly after, he moved to Oscoda, MI in the mid 1960’s to begin teaching for Oscoda Area Schools. He met the love of his life, Sandra Ross in 1967 and they married in 1968. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2022. For more than 30 years he primarily taught history to 8th graders. Bill loved hunting and fishing and in his younger years he played the trumpet in a jazz band. He also enjoyed traveling and most especially spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Jackson, Cynthia (Chris) Pangborn and grandchildren, Morgan and Austin. He is also survived by two brothers, Michael (Betty) Ross and James (Diane) Ross. A celebration of Bill and Sandra’s life will take place in the spring.
