Barbara Louise Johnson, age 75, of Beaverton, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was born on September 9, 1947, the daughter of Ralph and Naomi Johnson in Flint, MI.
Barbara dedicated many years of her life to her work, starting on the production line at Fisher Body in Flint and later at Simpson Industries in Gladwin until her retirement. Outside of work, Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved nature and spending time outdoors. She also loved knitting, sewing, and baking. In her younger days, she was even part of a country band where she sang the songs of Patsy Cline.
She is survived by her children: Lawrence W. Firman, Raymond (Kimberly) Firman, Ronald (Angie) Firman, Cheryl L. Miller-Firman, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Miller; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters: Loretta Johnson and Rosie Johnson; her best friend: Debbie Bolin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents: Ralph and Naomi; her son: Albert L. Firman; her grandson: Raymond L. Cassiday; and her siblings: Michael Bigelow, Jimmy Johnson, Patty Grimsely, and Sandy Jaggers.
