Van Parker, 69, of Lovells

Mr. Van Wade Parker, 69 of Lovells, Michigan died peacefully at his home with his loving wife at his side on January 6, 2024. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 27, 1954, to the late Leonhardt and Dorothy (Sisco) Parker. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and on the day of his discharge, he married his wife, Delia (Ysaguirre) Parker. The couple celebrated 49 years of marriage before his passing. Formerly of Eastpointe, they have resided in Lovells permanently for the last 14 months. Van was a member of the Odd Fellows Organization. He owned a Harley Davidson motorcycle that he loved to ride. He also enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife, camping, and attending NASCAR races with Delia. He loved his dogs very much. Van is and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Delia Parker of Lovells; sister, Debra (Rafael) Barela of Eastpointe; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonhardt and Dorothy Parker; and niece, Selena. 

A memorial service will be held in celebration of Van’s life at noon on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Green Funeral Home, Lewiston; Pastor Dave Fisher officiating with military honors. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
