Jim went to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at his home. Jim was born April 1, 1940 in Flint, Michigan.

Jim married his sweetheart June and moved his family from Saginaw to Gladwin where he built their home, worked to retirement at Dow Chemical, and enjoyed many outdoor activities; hunting, fishing, camping, landscaping, and going to outdoor music events. Deer camp holds some special family memories.

Jim married June Sharp in 1959 and took care of her until her passing in 2016. They were married 57 years and had 2 children; Joni (Jeff) Holly and Todd (Michelle) Donahue.

They have 5 grandchildren; Jessica Holly, Shane (Michelle) Holly, Luke (Jessica) Holly, Sarah (Eric) Donahue, Cody (Darcy) Donahue and they have 10 great grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers and sisters in law; Dorothy Foor, Linda (Chuck) Newman, and Tom (Janet) Sharp.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; Stanley and Ruth Donahue, his mother and father-in-law; Mark and Ethal Sharp, both of his brothers; Paul and Keith Donahue, brothers and sisters in law; Russ and Phyllis Allen, John Foor Brenda Donahue and Joan Donahue. Jim was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch and a believer in Jesus Christ.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 2 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home -GLADWIN CHAPEL with burial at Calvary Baptist Cemetery, West Branch. Those wishing an expression of sympathy please consider Compassus Hospice in Jim’s memory.
