Sharon Patchin, 76, of Roscommon

Sharon Kaye Patchin, age 76, of Roscommon, died on Saturday, January 27, 2024, in West Branch, Michigan.

Sharon was born July 8, 1947, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Donald and Marjorie (Hawkins) Eddy.

Sharon was an active member in the community spending quality time volunteering in the Roscommon Area Public Schools as a classroom helper. She served her community as the deputy clerk of Gerrish Township. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church taking great pride in their Women of the Bible traveling presentation as Ruth. She enjoyed volunteering her time for the kids at bible school. Sharon loved her years participating in the Women’s golf league. Sharon and John spent lots of time in Florida making new and everlasting friendships in their community there. They also were avid fans of the Michigan State Spartans. Go Green!

Sharon took great pride in her family and raising her two sons. She provided tremendous love and support in every one of their endeavors. As her family grew and grandchildren became part of her life, she cherished her new role as Nana, providing endless love and support for her grandchildren.

Sharon will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children Scott (Kathleen) Patchin and Greg (Jennifer) Patchin; grandchildren Lea (Adam) Fischer, Seth Patchin, Karly Patchin, and Jack Patchin; great-granddaughters Aurelia Fischer and Adeline Fischer; along with beloved sister-in-law, Elaine Eddy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John, of 53 years; and sibling, Randy Eddy.

Family and friends will gather at 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of the North, 149 Robinson Lake Road, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Sharon’s name to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of the North.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
