Larry ‘Bubby’ Steinley, 56, of Hale

Larry “Bubby” Steinley, age 56, passed away at home in the presence of his family on January 19, 2024.

Larry was born to Larry and Linda (Crum) Steinley on March 16, 1967 in Flint, MI. The Steinley family moved to Turner, MI in 1981 and Larry attended Whittemore-Prescott School where he met the love of his life, Regina (Jeannie) Steinley. Larry and Regina tied the knot in Whittemore, MI on May 14, 1988 and never looked back. They both attended Ferris State University where Larry received his Bachelor of Science in Surveying. Larry was an extremely hard worker and took great pride in his career, however, loved indulging in his many hobbies: fishing, hunting, boating, biking around Mackinaw Island, feeding on adrenalin at Cedar Point, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife Regina, children Brooke (Nick), Dylan, Cody (Brooke), Isabelle, two grandsons Wyatt and Luke, father Larry Steinley, and sister Becky (Dave) Dockery.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda and brother Todd Steinley.

Larry passed on a legacy of working hard, enjoying life and his belief in God all of which were instilled in his children.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Hale Methodist Church at 11AM.

Visitation will take place at Buresh-Bennett Funeral Home in Hale, MI on Tuesday, January 23rd 1-8PM and on Wednesday (Hale Methodist Church) beginning at 10AM until time of service.

Larry has asked that memorial contributions please be made to Interhope (primary focus is to rescue abandoned and orphaned children from the street, sweatshops and brothels and place them in Christ-centered homes).

An online guest registry is available to leave a message of love and support for Larry’s family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
