Donald Enos Cox, age 92, of Roscommon, sadly left us, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Roscommon.
Donald was born November 2, 1931, in Elkton, Michigan, the son of Milford and Ethel (Bennett) Cox.
While living in Elkton, Donald enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball. He also enjoyed playing in the band. Donald also attended the University of Indiana on a baseball scholarship. In his early years, Donald worked as a carpenter. He had a long career working for the Department of Natural Resources. Donald’s passions in life were woodworking, but especially his family.
Donald will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his sons: Duane Cox and
Dennis Cox; as well as many grandchildren who will remember Donald with fond memories.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Delores; and his daughter, Diana.
Family and friends will gather from 2:00-4:00 PM, on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Donald will be laid to rest at Delta Center Cemetery, in Delta Township, Michigan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
