Laura Lee Garnett, age 67, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Mission Point Nursing and Physical Rehabilitation in Roscommon, MI. She was born on November 4, 1956, in Flint, MI, to Walter and Laura (Redli) Hurley. She lived in the St. Helen and Gladwin area for the past 5 years, formerly of Flint.
Laura attended Atherton High School in Burton, MI, graduating in 1974.
Laura had a career as a secretary, working for a wine distributor in Flint and at Steven’s Moving & Storage. In her free time, Laura enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her family. She cherished every moment she had with her loved ones and created lasting memories with them.
Laura is survived by her sister, Deborah Patson of Flint; her brother, Russell (JoyAnn) Hurley of Burton, MI; her nieces and nephews, Rachel Springer, Ronald Patson Jr., Allen J. Patson, Destiny Honeysette, and Russell A. Hurley; as well as several great nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Vicki Fyock of St. Helen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ed Garnett, in 2019.
Cremation has taken place, and currently no services are scheduled.
