Cynthia Holland, 66, of Grayling

Cynthia Bea Holland: June 16, 1957 – December 2, 2023

Cynthia Bea Holland, loving wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at the age of 66 on December 2, 2023.

Cindy was born in Grayling, Michigan on June 16, 1957 to Harold Root and Marilyn (McMillen) Root. She had three daughters and married her husband Donald Jefferson Holland on February 14, 2008 until the time of her passing. Cindy loved to read and did many arts and crafts such as stocking painting. She also loved to collect tiger stuff. But she really loved spending time with her grandbabies. Nothing brought her more happiness than being a mother and grandmother. The way Cindy passed is a lot like she lived, she was a fighter. She didn’t have a problem telling you how she felt. They say a person never truly dies, that they live on through all their loved ones. They will live on in our hearts and memories, and memories live forever.

Left behind to speak about all the love and memories, as well as her legacy is her Donald Holland (Husband), Marilyn Root (Mother), Melissa Schlaff (Daughter), Bryan Schlaff (Son-in-Law), Jennifer Harris (Daughter), Tyesha Riley (Daughter), and Johnny Riley (Son-in-Law). Grandchildren: Eden Schlaff, Zachery Schlaff, Skyler Montoya, Kaylene Harris, Kevin Harris, Brandon Harris, Jordan Harris, Za’Niyha McAdoo, and Everly Riley. Great-Grandchildren: Malaya Woodward, Christopher Woodward, Keegan Ray, Ameila Ray, Oliver Harris, Mina Harris, Maevis Harris, Tanner, Chase; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Meeting her at heaven’s gate are Harold Root (Father), John Root (Brother), Autumn Root (Niece), and DeShaun Root (Nephew).
The family will have a benefit dinner in the upcoming months and a celebration of life for family and friends in the Spring 2024.
