BJ Williams II, 42, of St. Helen

Gerry Duane Williams II, also known as BJ, age 42, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his home in St. Helen, MI. He was born on December 18, 1981, in Warren, MI to Gerry Williams and Donna Goolsby. BJ lived in St. Helen for the past 5 years, formerly of Kentucky.

BJ graduated from Murray High School in Murray, KY, class of 2000. He pursued his passion for automotive by attending college to become a master technician. He worked at Car Quest in Montgomery, AL, before starting his own business, Williams Automotive. In 2017, he relocated to St. Helen and continued his successful career there.

On June 24, 2016, he married Resa Fogle in Murray, KY.

Outside of work, BJ enjoyed hunting, fishing, and lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors. His generosity and kindness will always be remembered.

BJ was a loving husband to Resa Williams and a devoted father to his son Tyler Williams. He is also survived by his mother Donna Goolsby, stepdad Pat Paille, sister Kristin Schlueter, brother Scott (Ronda) Lenton of Murray, KY, and nieces and nephews, Katie, Lucas, Chris, Zach, and Alysha. BJ will be deeply missed by his extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

A visitation in memory of BJ will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Chaplain Victor Schreffler will officiate.
