Teri Underhill, 59, of West Branch

Teresa “Teri” L. Underhill passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. She is survived by her husband David Underhill, son Donald Underhill, mother Elizabeth Raub, and sisters Rebecca (Scott) Pollen and Deborah (Chris) Tieman. She is preceded in death by her father Walter Raub and son Douglas Underhill. Teri resided in West Branch, Michigan with her friend Douglas Gildon and puppy, Cookie. She was an active employee of St. Vincent DePaul, West Branch.

Teri grew up in Troy Michigan where she developed a love for baseball and the outdoors. Although #19 never played professional sports, “Pleebie” adopted the motto “Little girls dream too!”. She played trombone with the Athens High School Marching band and attended the Detroit Business College where she majored in accounting.

Teri enjoyed working with her hands as a wood model maker in the auto industry and as a kit aircraft manufacturer with Mustang Aeronautics. In her free time, she enjoyed watching Tiger baseball, crafting bird houses in her father’s wood shop, and completing puzzles. She noted that one of her proudest moments was watching her son, Don, graduate from high school. Teri and her son, Doug, found peace fishing together on Lake Lancer.

Teri passed peacefully after a year and a half battle with cancer. Her big heart and humor will be missed by all.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the Christ The King Lutheran Church, 600 S. M-18, Gladwin, MI 48624, with Pastor Emily Olsen-Brandt presiding. The family will greet friends and family from 12:00 pm until the time of service at Christ The King Lutheran Church. Teri will be buried in a private ceremony at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy Michigan
