Mr. Robert Jeffery Freeman, 75 of Atlanta, Michigan died on November 10, 2023 at MyMichigan Medical Center of Alpena. He was born in Fenton, Michigan on December 4, 1947 to the late Robert Edward and Marilyn (Gazley) Freeman. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force after graduating from Atlanta Community Schools. Formerly of Harrison, he has resided in Atlanta since 2017. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and feeding wildlife, especially the turkeys. He liked shopping, riding alongside his cousin Jim in his logging truck, camping with friends and family and time spent around a campfire. He is and will be deeply missed.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Freeman of Atlanta; siblings, Cheryl (Richard) Reid of Carsonville; Steve (Rita) Freeman of St. Mary’s, Kansas; Dennis (Jane) Freeman of Lachine; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; aunt, Edith McSwain of Atlanta; special cousin, Jim (Gloria) McSwain; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marilyn Freeman; first wife, Cheryl; son, David; and siblings, Rodney and Terry.
Funeral services for Robert will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Green Funeral Home, Atlanta. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service.
