Richard Hiatt, 74, of Grayling

Richard Dean Hiatt, age 74, of Grayling, MI passed away peacefully on November 20, 2023 at Grayling Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Richard was born to Elam “Chet” and Judy (Herring) Hiatt in Marion, IN on May 7, 1949. Richard enjoyed artworks of all kinds and he was an excellent sketch artist. He also had an ability to make jewelry. Richard was very interested in Native American culture and the many forms of wildlife that Michigan has to offer. More than anything, he loved his children. May he rest in peace.

Richard is survived by his children, Starr Dunlap, Kaliska Hiatt, and Jeremiah (Amanda) Hiatt; grandchildren, Jennifer Alvarado, Christian Huggins, and Naomi Hiatt; siblings, Connie Naquin, Rita (Russ) Jane, James Robert Hiatt, and Judy Scott; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Chester Hiatt, and sister Bonnie Stevens.

A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be announced at a later date.
