Philip Milligan, 42, of Prudenville

Philip Michael Milligan, age 42, of Prudenville died Friday November 3, 2023 at home.

Philip was born on April 6, 1981. He grew up in Clawson graduating from Clawson High School. He moved to Houghton Lake in 2018 which made his mom’s heart sing with happiness, so very happy.  He loved the north and vowed to never move downstate EVER and only drove down on those “had to” occasions.  He enjoyed his job so much at Walmart, and loved hisWalmart family, keepers for sure.

Philip will be remembered for his generous heart, and compassion for others. He had a quick wit, loved to talk politics, studied many different religions on his own, just to be informed and to give you the right facts from the Bible, super intelligent, a techie guy that could fix, repair, and make it work again even if you wanted to throw it out the window.

Loved thrifting “saleing” (as in garage sales) estate sales were his fav.  He would find the most unusual cool finds, things everyone else walked by.

He enjoyed reading,  a big bon fire, and cooking, especially new recipes or changing up the flavor of an old recipe.

Philip had a nickname for everyone, was super hilarious, and inherited the gift of sarcasm from his beloved Nana, it was the gift that kept on giving, and he was faithful to all. If Philip was your friend, you were a friend for life.

Family was always first with Philip. He loved us all, and we loved him.

Surviving Philip are his mother Cheryl A.(William) Pavilnak; step brother, Mathew Pavilnak of Virginia; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Philip was preceded in death by his brother, Mathew Overby; his uncle, Timothy Walters; and maternal grandparents, Ed and Barbara Walters.

Memorial Services for Philip Michael Milligan will be conducted at 12:00 pm Saturday November 11, 2023 at Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 11, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Christler Funeral Home Prudenville Chapel.  Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
