Elaine Kathleen (McDonald) Schwenkler, age 86, of Prescott, MI passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Horizons of West Branch. She was born February 27, 1937, in Bay City, MI to Floyd and Irma (Knight) McDonald. Elaine married Eugene A. Schwenkler on October 9, 1965, in Bay City, Michigan and together they raised one daughter, Michelle.
Elaine was a homemaker but later in life worked at the local greenhouse. She enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking, and traveling. She was a master of word search and loved watching wildlife.
Elaine is survived by her daughter Michelle (Mark Stockton Jr.) Schwenkler of Prescott; grandchildren, Gabe and Gracie Stockton; nieces and nephews, Jan (Chris) Mrozinski, Tom (Pam) VanHoof, Lori (Philippe) Saratiotis, and Paul VanHoof. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene of 49 years. Services for Elaine will take place on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott, MI. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am and end at the time of service at 1:00. Pastor Voll will officiate. A luncheon will follow at the International Café’ in Prescott, MI.
