Heaven has another angel as of November 15, 2023, God called home Deanna Corrine Rice, 77, of Standish. She was born in Flint, Michigan, the second of 7 children to the late Carol and Alice (Mitchell) Slusser. Deanna married her husband of 55 years, on March 30, 1968, in Standish. She enjoyed crocheting, playing pickup sticks, and spoons and vacationing in Florida. She always loved camping and time spent with family and friend.
Deanna is survived by her brother, Jack (Willow) Slusser, sisters, Roberta (Ezra) Bradd, Pamela Slusser, and Patty (Roy) Stagray. Children, daughter, Culleen (Nicholas) Ostroski, son, Stacy Rice, son, Brian (Amanda) Rice, daughter, Lori (Richard) Hartman. Deanna is survived by brother-in-law, Gary Rice, Leroy (Shirley) Rice, and sister-in-law, Judy Pataky. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Deanna is preceded in death by her parents, Carol (Alice) Slusser, brother Jim (Rita) Slusser, and sister Karen Slusser. Daughter Deanna Lynn Rice, niece, Corrine (Slusser) Peterson, brother-in-law, Roy Stagray, and Ezra Bradd, and great granddaughter Liberty Sue-Ann Struthers. Deanna will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and many neighbors.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chapel.
