Marilyn White, 89, of East Tawas and Oscoda

Marilyn L. White, age 89, a resident of East Tawas and Oscoda, MI and formerly of St. Johnsbury, VT passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Tawas Village. She was born on February 17, 1934 in St. Johnsbury, VT to the late Edward and Maude Gray (Benedict). After graduating from St. Johnsbury Academy, Marilyn attended the University of Vermont where she earned her Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts. She worked for over 40 years as a librarian at St. Johnsbury Athenaeum public library and more recently at the Robert Parks Library. Marilyn enjoyed reading, traveling and riding motorcycles. She was a cat lover and most especially she enjoyed spending time with her family. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 34 years, Garry White; 4 children, Gregory (Michael Silvio) Boardman of Galisteo, NM, Julia (Yven) St. George of Vergennes, VT, Lucille (Mike) Bish of Carson City, NV and Sarah (Andre) St. George of East Tawas, MI. Marilyn is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Mathew (Teneya Cramer) Morris of Carson City, NV, Tracy (Alex) Hoffer of Rockville, MD, Charli Adams of Carson City, NV, Stephanie (Nate) McKone of Coopersville, MI, Jessica St. George of Ann Arbor, MI and 3 great-grandchildren, Mason Morris, Jaeden Pierre St. George and Elizabeth Hoffer. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to any local animal shelter and you may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
