Margaret “Maggie” Welch, formerly of Mio, was born on February 24, 1952 in Flint, Michigan. She died peacefully at her home in Blanchard, Michigan, surrounded by loved ones, on October 10, 2023.
Surviving are her companion – Jim Rhoads; daughter – Lisa (Kline) Johnson; sister -Marcia Putman; Grandchildren – Keelan Kline and Keshone Kline; Great-Grandchildren – Keion Kline, Kamiah Kline and Quincy Kline and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and Friends
She was preceded in death by her parents – Florence (Tebo) and Robert Putman, son Brian “Barney” Kline , sisters Alice Johnson and Mary DeMott, brother – Albert Nutt and husband – David Welch.
Maggie absolutely adored setting up her hummingbird feeders every year and watching the birds as they arrived in the spring. She also enjoyed all types of flowers and planting them in her yard every year, especially her Morning Glories. She had many friends that she would spend time talking with on the phone or on Facebook. Maggie loved spending time with her family and was blessed to have visited Texas multiple times to spend time with her great-grandchildren. She and her companion, Jim, enjoyed traveling to many locations in Michigan, as well as locations all over the country.
Visitation 11:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with Mr. Ron DeMott officiating. Cremation will follow the services, with interment of ashes at a later date at the Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio.
