Robert John Budz, 81, passed away on August 15, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Robert was born to the late John and Lottie (Makuch) Budz on July 19, 1942. He was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Sterling in 1950. Robert met Sue Hoder in 1975 and a few months later, were married. Robert knew she was the love of his life, and they were married for 43 years.
Robert had many hobbies which include, fishing, hunting, baseball, golfing, and of course, grandpa daycare. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his sister, Rose Markel, son, Michael (Toni) Budz, daughters Jen (Aaron) Datzko, Jodie Kelly, Megan (Mike) Pula. Brother-in-Law, Don and Ron Hoder, Sister-in-Law, Sharon Denver. Also, grandchildren, Hunter, Cade, Teaguen, Evan, Bryn, Vercin, Cole, Brett, and Anndi. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Sue Budz, his parents, John and Lottie Budz, Bill, and Isabelle Hoder.
Per Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place with no services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home – Standish Chapel.
