Soultana ‘Anna’ Rosebrugh, 79, of Lupton

Soultana “Anna” fotiadou Rosebrugh, age 79 of Lupton, MI., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 18, 1943 to a Greek family in Greece.

As Anna told the story many times, in 1970 she and a friend were visiting a beach in Greece one day when an American Navy man introduced himself to her. They hit if off immediately and that Navy man, Paul Rosebrugh, decided he could not live without her and sometime afterwards he decided to propose. Once married Anna spent the next several years traveling with Paul during his 30 year Navy service. After retirement they settled in Ogemaw county and began farming.

Anna enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and in her younger years, gardening. As she got older she loved going to the casinos, playing the lottery, and watching the Hallmark channel. She was a great cook and took a lot of pride and effort always cooking thanksgiving dinner.

Anna is survived by her children, Melissa, Ralph (Christina), Ricky, and Robert; brothers, Stellaris and Kastacci; sister, Athanasia; grandchildren, Dakota, Tyler, Laine, Jesilynn, Cheyanne, Robert Jr., and Madison; great-grandchild, Nova, and many nieces and nephews.

Anna is preceded in death by her parents.

Per Anna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service hosted by family on Saturday August 19, 2023 at 3:00pm at the Lupton Townhall. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share condolences, memories, and photos of Anna.
