Mark ‘Pops’ Brodeur, 66, of Hale

Mark E. “Pops” Brodeur passed away peacefully at his home in Hale, MI on July 28, 2023. He was born on January 3, 1957, in Belchertown, MA to Joseph and Rhea (Lamb) Brodeur. Mark worked as a machine maintenance technician in the steel industry. He was employed by Jarvis & Jarvis for 25 years, retiring in 2000. Mark was a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union. He enjoyed working on hot rods, drag racing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and woodworking. Mark loved his neighborhood, and you would often find him driving around in his golf cart visiting with people. He is survived by his sons, Justin (Tina) Brodeur and Mark P. Brodeur; brothers, Joseph Brodeur of Arizona, Roger Brodeur of Massachusetts, Rodney Brodeur of Massachusetts; many nieces and nephews; “grand dogs”, Luna, Remington, Annie, Sassy, Diesel, Thor, Sullivan and Reuben, to whom he was lovingly known as “GrandPaw”. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Frank and Wayne Brodeur. Per Mark’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Veterans Affairs Organization or Meals on Wheels.
