Linda J. Harrison, 74, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at MyMichigan Hospital, West Branch, Michigan following a lingering illness. She was born on February 8, 1949, to the late Gerald E. and Bertha A. (Dickerson) Harrison in Medina, Ohio. She graduated from Durand High School, and retired from GM. She enjoyed photography, painting, crafts, and volunteer work. Linda had a smile that could light up even the darkest of rooms. She held a great passion for helping others. Volunteering at Project Hope was amongst one of her favorite ways to give back. “Don’t judge and don’t blame,” a phrase she lived by. She was most proud of her personal growth throughout her adult years. She had the utmost love and affection for her family who, above all was her most precious of gifts.
Linda is survived by her children; David R. Thornton (Daniel Guerancy), Brent Thornton, Kari Campbell (Mike), grandchildren, Tori Thornton (Paul), Stephanie Hegland, Hunter Bohn, Kylie Bohn, great-grandchildren, Mason, Addison, Aubrey and Scarlet. Brothers, Larry, Terry and Tom Harrison and her nieces; Mandi Franchar, Sarah Jean Harrison, nephews; Zachary Harrison, and Jeremy Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Bertha Harrison.
Linda has chosen to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date and communicated to her close friends and family by her children. The family has entrusted the Rivertown Funeral Chapel, Kawkawlin, Michigan.
