Karen Lee Grzenkowicz (Burke), age 74 of Hale, MI., passed away on July 10, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born on March 7, 1949 in Detroit, MI., to the late Gordon and Marian (Weaver) Burke.
Karen married the love of her life, Bart Grzenkowicz, in November of 1990. They lived in Howell, MI. for many years, but eventually moved to Missouri for work and eventually retiring there. After 15 years in Missouri, they wanted to be closer to their children back in Michigan, and so, relocated to Hale.
Karen loved quilting and belonged to the Quilters Guild at the Hale Baptist Church as well as the women’s DORKAS group. She was an avid bike rider and had her own Harley Davidson. She and Bart traveled all over the States on their bikes experiencing the road like only bikers can do. More than anything else she loved her family and spending time with them.
Karen is survived by her husband, Bart; children, Paul, Geoff, Kevin, Christopher, and Amy; brothers, Geoffrey and Dale, and 12 grandchildren.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents.
