James Eugene Roberge, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, July 23, 2023. He was born on November 12, 1933, to the late Eugene and Louise B. (Germain) Roberge. James served in the US Army for 3 years during the Korean War, with the rank of a Corporal. He received the Koran Service Ribbon with 2 Bronze Service Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal Combat Infantry Badge. Sailing was his passion; he was a self-employed interior painter and in his spare time he followed his passion for sailing. James was an honorary member of Bay City Yacht Club and later an honorary member of the Tawas Yacht Club.
James is survived by his children, Jeff Roberge, Bonnie Roberge, Mark Bartz, and Cheryl (Dennis) Roczkowski. Grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy Roberge.
