Donna St. Germain, 66, of East Lansing, formerly of Grayling

Donna Marie St. Germain, 66, of East Lansing, Michigan passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.

Donna was born in Escanaba, Michigan on January 30, 1957, the daughter of the late Marie St. Germain (Kakkuri) and Thomas St. Germain. She graduated from Grayling High School in 1975 where she was an active honor student and athlete, playing basketball, volleyball, cheerleading and softball, and was a four-year member of band. Donna graduated early and Cum Laude from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978. She then graduated from Michigan State University in 1981 with a Master of Public Administration degree. After graduation, Donna moved down to Houston, Texas, to be closer to her brother Sam and his family. She achieved a NALA Paralegal Degree in 1992 and embarked upon her lifelong career in law. In 2002, Donna moved back to Lansing, Michigan where she finished out her career with Foster Swift Collins & Smith law firm, retiring in 2021.

Donna was an animal lover and a sports nut. While in Texas, she adopted the Houston Astros as her beloved hometown baseball team, and she was an avid fan of all things Michigan State University. Above all, she was a dog mom to Zephyr and Ginger and donated generously to animal shelters and causes.

Donna is survived by her brother: Gerry (Donna) St. Germain of Grayling. Nieces and nephew: Jessica (Dustin) Spero of Paw Paw, Jillian St. Germain of Portland, OR, Jeff St. Germain of Tomball, TX and Erika (Jason) Bellinger of Spring, TX.  Great nieces and nephews: Dylan and Emma Spero, Jace and Laila Bellinger. Donna was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Marie St. Germain and her brother, Sam St. Germain.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Gray Rock Pub, 2123 Industrial St., Grayling, MI 49738.
