Ann Robinson, 83, of Hale

Virginia “Ann” Robinson was born on June 7, 1940, in Flint, Michigan. She was the oldest of five children born to the union of Henry and Laurene (Girard) Wright.

On June 25, 1960, Ann married the love of her life Dennis Robinson and together shared over 63 years of marriage. They welcomed three children, Karen, Michael, and Brady. Ann worked for the Mt. Morris school district as the school secretary before moving “Up North” to retire.

Ann was a natural athlete, playing multiple sports, but her favorite being softball. She played in a local softball league into her forties and was even able to play on the same team with her daughter Karen for a few years.

Ann was passionate about being outdoors, she admired nature’s beauty. She loved the sounds of birds singing, the lightning shows in the clouds, the smell of rain, and the vibrant colors of her flowers. What Ann loved most was spending time with Den and making memories and their family and friends. She enjoyed “pontooning” on the AuSable river, watching her kids and grandkids run up and down “the sand hill,” and picnicking on the riverbanks. She loved ending her nights around a bonfire, sharing stories and lots and lots of laughs.

Ann saw the best in everyone and was always there for anyone who needed her. Her phone would ring off the hook with family and friends just wanting to chat, she was a great listener and loved to hear about their lives.
