Randall Scott, 69, of West Branch

Randall Lee Scott, age 69, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center West Branch surrounded by his family. He was born on January 15, 1954, in East Bernstadt, KY to Oscar and Lillie (Howard) Scott. He lived in West Branch since 1994 formerly of Pomona, CA.

On August 6, 1977, he married Karen Orchard in Pomona, CA.

He worked for 23 years in the Carpenter’s Union in California as a drywall hanger. After moving to Michigan, he worked as a custodian at West Branch Rose City School District for over 10 years and at Walmart for two years.

Randall was a member of the West Branch Church of God and was a foster parent for 7 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, fixing things, and especially attending his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s events. He was affectionately known as “Poppy” by his grandchildren.

Randall is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Karen Scott of West Branch; daughter Kimberly Scott of St. Helen; sons Randy Jr. (Cindy) Scott of West Branch, Ryan (Joanna) Scott of West Branch, and Kyle Scott of Grayling; grandchildren Kari (Devin), Jalyn, Elijah, Hannah, Maddox, Liam, Noah, Alana, Ezrah, and Adalyn; great grandchildren Ethan, Carsen, and Emma; brothers Bill (Doris) Scott of AZ and Danny Scott of CA; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings Jim, Henry, Lonnie, Emma, Sandra (his twin), and Judy.

Visitation will begin at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m.
