Larry Dennis Foster, age 74, passed away on June 18, 2023. He was born April 27, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Samuel Foster and Gloria (Rozanski) Foster. Larry married the love of his life, Dora “Dottie” Pastorino on August 11, 1995. They were inseparable. Dottie’s 3 kids were very loved by Larry and were treated as his own.
If anyone knew Larry, they knew of his love for trains. It all started when he was young, and he met his grandpa Foster for the first time. His grandpa Foster was an engineer and expressed to that Larry should have a train set when they return home. From there on, that was the start of Larry’s train collection. Anyone that knew Larry, knew his love of trains. Through the years he developed a love for old cars and began restoring them.
He is survived by his sister: Debbie Jo Foster-Houthasfd, stepsons: Mark (Mickey) Manszewski, Tony (Divida) Pastorino, and stepdaughter Aimee (Carl) Pereira. Grandchildren, Monica, Mia, and Mark Manszewski; Gabriel and Owen Pastorino; Justin and Erika Smith; Tiffany Morris; Justin, Josh, and Michael Foreman; Maranda Douglas; and Faith Newbold.
Larry is preceded in death by, mother and father, Samuel and Gloria Foster, and sister Linda Charlene Foster.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 7:00 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chapel with Yvette Chisholm presiding. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 4:00 pm until time of service.
