Scott Mitchell Atwater, age 48, passed away on May 15,2023, at St. Mary’s Ascension of Saginaw. He was born on August 20,1974 in Bay City, Michigan to LeRoy & Jeannine (Bodrie) Atwater. Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed repairing small engines and playing card games, especially poker. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, particularly his daughter Grace, who was the light of his life.
Scott graduated from Pinconning Area High School in 1994. He received specialized training in telecommunications from NCTI and worked as a Telecommunications Technician for almost 25 years at Charter Spectrum.
Scott is survived by his daughter Grace Atwater and her boyfriend Victor Underwood, siblings; Brian (Connie), Tim (Tiffany), Tonia (Steve) Wilczynski, aunts and uncles; Alfred (Dawn Kershner) Bodrie, Annlee (Gerry) Greyerbiehl, Judy (John) Krzysik, Ed Dittenbir, Bruce (Linda) Bodrie, George Bodrie, Sam (Renee) Bodrie, Robert Bodrie, Kellie Bodrie, Donald Garrow, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special fishing partner Pat Neering.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lavern & Grace Bodrie, Eva Bodrie, aunts; Janice Dittenbir, and Helen Bodrie.
Scott’s passion for the outdoors and his love for his family and friends will always be remembered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Pinconning Township Hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorials or contributions be made to his daughter Grace Atwater.
