Perry Brown, 71, of Au Gres

Perry H. Brown, age 71, of Au Gres, MI and formerly of Clio, MI passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Tawas City, MI on July 19, 1951 and later moved downstate, graduating from Clio High School. Perry then began a career with General Motors that spanned 31 ½ years until his retirement in 2004. He was a forklift driver primarily at Flint Truck and Bus.

Perry married Christine J. Arseneault on June 10, 1972 in Clio, MI. His artistic talents included oil painting and stained glass. In addition, Perry enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting, golfing and working on classic cars. He and his son Scott restored a 66 Chevy II Nova, as one of his favorite projects. Perry was a member of the Tawas Methodist Church and he belonged to golf leagues over the years after retirement.

He is survived by his wife Chris; daughter Angela Brown of St. Johns, FL, son Scott (Robyn) Brown of Aledo, TX; two grandchildren, Aubrey and Zander; brother Kenneth Isola of Glennie, MI, brother David Brown of Coleman, MI, sister-in -law Jacquita Anderson of Piggott AR, and brother-in-law Ronald Husted of Holly, MI. Perry is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Norma Isola (Jerry Anderson, Sr), mother and father-in-law Edward and Lucille Arseneault, sister-in-law Barbara (Richard) Bartkowiak and sister-in-law Sally Husted, and brother, Jerry Anderson, Jr.

A celebration of this kind man’s life will be held at the Tawas Methodist Church on Saturday, June 3, 2023. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Kris Kappler will officiate. You may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tawas Methodist Church.
