In loving memory of Larry Jay King, born November 22, 1954, and passed May 29, 2023 at the age of 68.
He retired from General Motors in 2019 as an Electrical Engineer and enjoyed his new coworkers working part time at Harbor Freight.
He leaves his wife, Karen King, of eighteen years. Along with his mother; Juanita Middleton (Norman), sister; Kathy Wells (Steve), in-laws; Ted Schramm (Shirley), son; Chadwick King (Sarah), daughter; Charlette Shaw (David), step-son; Cody Deitering (Megan), nephew; Justin Wells (Karen), niece; Chelsi Wells, grandchildren; Brayden King, Logan Shaw, Caleb King, step-granddaughter; Harper Nicholson, ex-wife; Cathy Carrigan as well as many cousins, aunts, and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father; Marvin “Elmer” King.
He loved his home on the Lake, hunting, boating, fishing, trapping with his son and grandson, tending to his yard, skiing, and watching NASCAR. He loved to travel and take day trips with his wife on the weekend. He also loved to play cards on Friday nights.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at his home in Houghton Lake 1265 E. Houghton Lake Drive from 1-5 pm. You may express your condolences to the family at www.christler-holdship.com Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel handled the arrangements.
