Elsie Henry, 69, of Gladwin

Elsie Lee Henry, beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2023. Elsie was born in Wyandotte, MI on October 5, 1953 to William and Catherine Pritula. Elsie married Raymond Henry, Sr on July 26, 1975 in Gladwin, MI. Elsie has two children, Shelby Henry and Michael Henry who she loved dearly. Elsie loved spending time with her grandson, Samuel Henry and granddaughter, Lilyann Womack. Elsie enjoyed hanging baskets of purple flowers, volunteering at her local VFW Auxiliary, owning her beauty shop for over 40 years, cooking and northern Michigan winters. Elsie liked jewelry and large, beautiful hats. Elsie was a devoted member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary where she held many positions of leadership in both organizations. Elsie was an active member of the Gladwin Assembly of God church for many years and volunteered to help whenever she could.

Elsie leaves behind her loving husband of forty-seven years, Raymond Henry, Sr and her two children, Shelby Henry and Michael Henry. Elsie also leaves behind her son-in-law, Jeffrey St. Denis, daughter-in-law Kelsey Henry, her grandson Samuel Henry, her granddaughter Lilyann Womack, step-son Raymond Henry Jr, step-son William Henry, three siblings (William III, Kathy, Sandy) as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Elsie was pre-deceased in death by her parents, William and Catherine Pritula, both sets of grandparents, four siblings (Christopher, Betty, Anthony, Christine), a niece (Nina), a nephew (David) as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be at 11:00 am on May 25, 2023 and the funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm on May 25, 2023 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. There will not be a graveside service or dinner following the funeral service.
