David Anderson, 66, of Beaverton

“What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”

With unwavering faith and a true love of the Lord, David Allen Anderson, 66, of Beaverton, was called to his eternal home in Heaven on May 11, 2023. Dave was born on December 27, 1956 in Gladwin to Thomas and Jeanette (Hoffman) Anderson. Dave graduated from Gladwin High School. He was united in marriage to Jill Grove on October 23, 1982. He devoted his professional life to Dow Corning. He attended the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene and loved to tell his testimony to anyone who would listen. He greatly enjoyed his time on the golf course, playing cards, and visiting the casino. The most treasured moments in Dave’s life were spent with family, especially with “his girls” who will forever remember their Papa.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Jill; son Jason (Janel) Anderson; daughter Chelsea Anderson; grandchildren: MaKenzie, Brynlee, and Lainey; sister Julie Anderson; and brother Thomas Anderson; sisters-in-law Deb (Brian) Genaw, Judy (Denny) Brubaker, Penny (Steve) Sterling, Vickie (Mark) Oliver; brother-in-law Dave (Shawn) Grove; many nieces and nephews; and his very best of friends Dan and Nazali Wood.

He now joins in Heaven those family members who preceded him in death: parents Thomas and Jeanette Anderson; mother-in-law Dede Gedney; father-in-law Junior Grove; brother-in-law Gary Grove; nephew Lincoln Brubaker; and great-nephew Devon Callas.

“There’s a reason why golfers walk forward to their next shot. It’s time to move on.” J.R. Rim

Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial services will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene from 4-6 PM. The service will be conducted by Pastor Martin Hodge at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Beaverton Nazarene Youth Ministry.

Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
