Cathy Ann Anderson, age 59, of Roscommon, died on Friday, April 28, 2023, in Traverse City, Michigan.
Cathy was born December 23, 1963, in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Kenneth and Lottie (Piorkowski) Cook.
Cathy was passionate about many things. A few of them were drawing, painting, and needle point stitching. She enjoyed playing pool and being the “social butterfly” or as folks would call her, “Chatty Cathy.” Also known as the “Crazy Cat Lady,” Cathy was passionate about her pets, and enjoyed watching the birds and all wildlife out her living room window. When Cathy was able, she was a dedicated and enthusiastic hard worker. Considering her love to talk to and be around people, was reason enough for her to truly enjoy being a waitress and bartender. Cathy will always be remembered for being very loving, caring, and patient, as well as taking great joy in going above and beyond to help others.
Cathy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Aubrea (Scott Snyder) Anderson of Roscommon; nephews: Jay (Tricia) Cook of Lapeer, Michigan, Michael Cook of Lapeer, Michigan; niece, Jamie Rierson of Lapeer, Michigan; great-nephews: Caleb and Zhane; great-nieces: Alyssa, Zoey, and Mika; many great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as several cousins, and friends.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Daniel Cook and Richard Cook.
Family and friends will gather from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
