Joyce Rogers, 64, of Alger, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was born on September 27, 1958, the daughter of Francis and Phyllis (Ball) Doan in Howell. She moved to Alger in 2011, previously residing in Pinckney. She spent most of her career working as a chef. Joyce worked for several restaurants before becoming head chef for a mental health facility. She loved horses, dogs, laughing, making memories, but she dedicated her later life to spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Natasha (Alan) Motsinger and Audrey (Jeramie) Lovendusky; grandchildren: Alexis (Devon) McQuade, Ryan, Colten, Violet, and Olivia Lovendusky; father: Francis Doan; sister: Brenda Devine; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother and sister: Nana Presley.
A Memorial Luncheon will be held at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 5768 East Grand River Ave, Howell, MI on Saturday, April 29 from 1pm to 4pm. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
