Jared Ojars Gailitis, age 25, of Roscommon, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his home.
Jared was born January 3, 1998, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Jason Gailitis and Jennifer (Rodebaugh) Gailitis.
Jared attended Michigan State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He enjoyed everything about being outdoors. Jared loved working with his hands. He liked to build things. He enjoyed working on docks on Higgins Lake. Jared enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling, fishing, and football. Jared had a big heart. He would do anything, anytime, all the time, for anyone. Jared would always put others first before himself without hesitation. Most of all, Jared loved and appreciated his family.
Jared will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his parents: father, Jason Gailitis of Mears, Michigan; mother, Jennifer (Rodebaugh) Gailitis of Roscommon; brother, Jory Gailitis of Lansing; grandparents: Norma and Brad Rogers of Ithaca, Mike and Debbie Rodebaugh of Vermontville; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends will gather from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
Jared’s mother, Jennifer and her family have chosen to have private services held at a different date and time.
Jared will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
