Jack and Gina Leline, both 73, of Roscommon

John (Jack) Franklin Leline, Jr., and Regina (Gina) Marie Leline, both age 73, of Roscommon, left us too soon in a tragic automobile accident on Friday, April 21, 2023. They spent their final hours how they loved to live — enjoying their healthy morning routine, side by side, and wholeheartedly serving others.

Their marriage and life were to be admired & esteemed. High school sweethearts, they truly exceeded the definition of love. For over 53 years, their adoration of one another served as a shining example to their family, as well as any passerby with two eyeballs. These two remained madly in love. A romantic love that had not wavered or waned since the day that Jack made Gina hop on his 1966 Honda SuperHawk, in a small Northern Michigan town. The Leline’s went on to build a home, fiercely love, and raise three beautiful children.

This charming duo was deeply respected and loved locally, across the state, and country. Their combined acts of sacrifice, concern, and genuine care for mankind were unmatched. They unselfishly gave their hearts, time, finances, and ultimately their lives in the pursuit of helping and mentoring the community.

First and foremost was their unconditional, faithful service to their God and their fellow Brothers and Sisters in the worldwide brotherhood of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Among the noble qualities noted above, Jack was known for his witty sense of humor, stylish attire, laid-back attitude, and appreciation of salty snacks. Although Gina mirrored him in many ways, she was also known for her feisty spirit, discipline, and gift of hospitality. Together they were supportive, fun-loving, and generous at whatever task they tackled. Whether they were in the garden, working on house projects, gatherings, or their wellness, they were a team, always.

If you knew them, they were your favorite team.

Jack and Gina are survived by their family, as well as countless “chosen families.” Their 3 children: John Leline III (Melissa) of Fort Myers, Florida, Jodie Tompkins (Todd) of Grayling, Michigan, and Josh Leline (Ashley) of Austin, Texas; their four beloved grandchildren: Whitney Leline of Fort Myers, Florida, Zada Leline of Fort Myers, Florida, Kayla Povey (Jared) of Grayling, Michigan, Chloe Leline, of Fort Collins, Colorado; and Regina’s brother, David (Katie) LaCharite of Naples, Florida.

Both were preceded in death by their parents of Roscommon, Michigan; granddaughter, Alexis (Lexi) Leline of Fort Myers, Florida, and Regina’s two sisters: Patricia (Robert) Tack, and Norma (Denny) Roy.

The pain of this tragic grief will be an intense wave to maneuver. We ask that each of you take care of one another with fragility as we all learn to gently navigate these unchartered waters of such deep loss. Hold your memories of Jack and Gina tight.
