Dolores Hoist, 91, of Hillman

Mrs. Dolores Joan Hoist, 91 of Hillman, Michigan died peacefully at Hillman Haven on the afternoon of April 24, 2023 with family at her side. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her late husband, Charles. Dolores was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 24, 1931 to Olaf and Louise (Barrett) Roberts. She was a past member of the Kingston Wesleyan Church where she also volunteered as a Sunday school teacher. Dolores and Charles were both dairy farmers and members of the Michigan Farm Bureau. Dolores was an avid card player and had a spunky, sassy personality with a great sense of humor. She loved peonies and enjoyed flowers and gardening, as well as cooking when she was able. She loved her family, and she leaves them all with great memories and a lot of love. She is and will be deeply missed.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ralph) Banks of Hillman; grandchildren, Connie (Dwight) Hardies of Hillman; David (Sarah) Clayton of Hillman; Kent (Nicole) Clayton of Richland; Niecole Smith of Minden City; Ammanda (Fredrick) Malloy of Palmer; Charlie Hoist of Carsonville; Kevin Hoist of Marlette; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Louise Roberts; husband, Charles; and son, Gary.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held in celebration of her life at a later date.
