Patricia Bolser, 93, of Atlanta

Mrs. Patricia J. Bolser of Atlanta, Michigan passed away on February 19, 2023 at the age of 93 years. She was born to Cecil and Cora (Parks) Todd on June 16, 1929 at the family home in Flint. She married Bennie L. Bolser in that same house on August 28, 1948 and together the couple celebrated 74 years of marriage before her passing.  Pat graduated from Flint Central High School and attended Flint Community College. She was employed in her earlier years as secretary to the City of Flint Treasurer and later as secretary to the Genesee Township Treasurer before moving to Atlanta. Pat and Ben moved to Atlanta in 1968 where Ben worked as the press operator for the Montmorency Tribune and Pat was Atlanta’s librarian. In 1972, they purchased the Abstract and Title Insurance office and operated until 1994 when they both retired. She was a member of the Atlanta Congregational United Church of Christ and was the past clerk for 30+ years. She was the past teacher and superintendent of the church school, a life member of the Atlanta Chapter No. 487, and the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as secretary for 29 years. Pat was the past grand representative of Wisconsin and Michigan and past president of the Wolverine District Association O.E.S, a charter member of the Atlanta Eagles Auxiliary, and a Red Cross blood coordinator and donor. She had been the president of the Montmorency County Library Board for many years and the Briley Township Treasurer in the 1970s. Pat was an avid golfer, having three holes-in-one and enjoyed deer hunting. Her love of the outdoors filled her with much joy as did her many, many faithful friends. Most important to her were her husband, children, grandchildren, and their children who she dearly loved and enjoyed.

Pat is survived by her loving husband, Bennie Bolser; sons, Benjamin T. (Patricia A.) Bolser; and Dell E. (Marcia K.) Bolser; grandsons, Rocky Kimball; Todd (Jessica) Bolser; granddaughter, Kaycee (Nathan) Winkelman; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Tesa, Emmet Todd, Jaxon Thomas, Brooke, and Hailey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Cora Todd; sister, Marie Burris; and brother, Emmet Todd.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bolser will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Atlanta Congregational United Church of Christ, Pastor Dave Engel officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until time of service with a luncheon following.
