Bill Struble, 65, of Hale

William Marvin Struble of Hale, MI passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2023 in Tawas City, MI. Bill was born on November 3, 1957 in Flint, MI, to Elden and Darlene (Meader) Struble.

Bill graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson Memorial High School in 1976 and continued on to Denver Automotive and Diesel College where he graduated in 1978. Bill worked mostly as a Diesel Mechanic, but was also a Truck Driver, Shop Foreman, Equipment Operator, Sales Representative, and ran his own Body Shop and Excavating and Landscaping Business. Bill retired from Wangler and Sons Trucking as a Diesel Mechanic and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, the great outdoors, fishing, camping and boating. He was also a “Collector” of many things.

Bill dedicated his life to ensuring everyone around him was taken care of…. family, friend, or stranger. He married the love of his life, Claudia Grewe in 1987. They met in Colorado and later moved to California where they married and their children were born. They moved a few times with finally settling in Michigan. Bill enjoyed spending his days with our local Amish who quickly became cherished friends and a big part of his life.

Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Claudia; daughters Beverley(Dean) Bauer, Jessica (Bill) Bonk, Andrea ( Devin) Shick, Jasmine (Daniel) Johnson, sister Charlotte Johnson, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; brother Elden Struble, sister Sheila Thom.
