Sally McPherson, 92, of Grayling

Sadie “Sally” Eileen McPherson, 92, of Grayling, MI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

Sally was born to Harry and Henrietta (Moneghan) Matatall on September 25, 1930 in Fremont, OH. She married her late husband, Edgar McPherson, on February 18, 1950. Sally enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. She also enjoyed doing lunch dates with friends. She was a member of the Red Hats Society and also ran a child daycare out of her home locally for several years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her children, Tom McPherson, Roxanne (Teddy) Hartman, Nancy Meyer, Bonnie Niederer, and Jim (Malida) McPherson; grandchildren, Tammy (Rick) Miller, Jason (Jen) McPherson, Kelly (Brendan) O’Neil, TJ Hartman, Nate (Dana) Niederer, Joshua (Charity) Niederer, Danielle (Ethan) Vukin, Megan (Danone) Meyer, Kirklann Centers, Tara (Scott) Sexton, Matthew McPherson, Jade McPherson, Shannon McPherson, Mia McPherson, Shamus McPherson, and Kieron McPherson; and several great-grandchildren.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar McPherson; parents, Harry and Henrietta Matatall; sisters, Judy Morgan and Pat Currier; and brother, Edwin Matatall.

Visitation will take place Saturday, January 14, 2023, 10-2 pm at Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home in Grayling, MI followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm officiated by Pastor Phillip Niederer. Interment will take place in the spring of 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery in Grayling, MI.
