He leaves behind his parents Anthony and Linda Jarrell, as well as his sisters and brother, Bernice (Jason) Kropp, Fairlena (Joel) Kuzich, and Anthony (Jennifer) Jarrell. Jim is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as aunts Michele Jarrell and Elaine Berardi, and several cousins.

Jim is predeceased by his nephew whom he loved and cared for as a son, Sean Iwinski, grandparents James M. Jarrell, Failena and William Dolby, Joseph Kowalski, Bernice and Frank Carreon. Uncles Charles Jarrell, Clyde Jarrell Dennis Jarrell, Gregory Carreon. Aunt Valorie Jenkins, and cousin Vada Jarrell.
