Cecille Ellen Chapman, age 71, of Oscoda, MI, formerly of Tawas City, MI passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Alpena Regional Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1951 in Northfield, MN to the late Merrill and Arlene (Bungaard) Chapman.
Cecille worked as a family nutritional specialist for MSU Extension and also had a catering business for many years. Cecille had many passions and hobbies over the years, but always enjoyed reading, shopping, listening to books on CD, cooking and baking for her friends and family, going on trips to see the fall colors and participating in community comedy events using the character “Marvella”. She also loved all things purses and cats. Cecille was a member of the Toastmasters and many writing groups.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Wetteroff; children, Jef Eifert of Loxley, AL and Joy (Larsen) Mathias of Saginaw, MI; sisters, Kayla (Ron) Ohman of Farmington, MN and Jonna; grandchildren, Melissa Eifert, Hannah Socha, Arriona Pringle, Grace Eifert, Liberty Eifert, Triden Eifert and Coda Eifert; great-grandson, Donavan James Eifert and nieces and nephews, Julie McMan, Ryan Cousins, Jamie Cousins and Zane Ohman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Eifert and sister, Cheryl Ferlen.
