Thomas “Tom” Brushaber, age 79, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday December 11, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was born on August 19, 1943 in Gladwin, Michigan to Warren and Anne (Santa) Brushaber. He retired from General Motors. Tom was married on August 14, 1965 in Morrice, Michigan to Myrtle Charette. The couple moved to the Houghton Lake area in 1998 after their retirement. He was a member of Houghton Lake Eagles, former member of the Morrice Lions and a former volunteer of the Perry Fire Department for over 25 years. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, shuffleboard and playing cards with friends.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Myrtle Brushaber of Houghton Lake, daughters; Tracy (Randy) Renfro of Midland and Joy (Mike Inman) Brushaber of Houghton Lake, grandchildren; Jessica Renfro, Randi (David Nowland) Brushaber and Thomas Renfro, sisters; Barbara (Dick) Boyer of Midland and Betty (Joe) Windover of Midland, Brazilian daughter; Silvia and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services for Thomas Brushaber will be conducted at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel on Saturday December 17, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday December 17, 2022 from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
