Katherine Mary Parks, of East Tawas, formerly of Linden, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the Harbor’s Assisted Living in East Tawas, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, age 93 years.
Katherine was born in Marion Township, Michigan on June 14, 1929 to John and Elizabeth (Hinkel) Kunst. She was employed through the Holly Public School System where she worked primarily with services in the cafeteria. Katherine truly enjoyed the students and she made many friendly relationships over the years. Her family and friends will always remember how much she enjoyed shopping, traveling and spending time in her garden. Above everything else, Katherine absolutely cherished all the time she was able to spend with her family.
She is survived by her loving granddaughter, Danielle (Jeremy) Laubon; her 9 year old great granddaughter, Aubrey Laubon; and 1 nephew, Philip Kunst. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Kunst, her brother, Johnny Kunst, her sister, Elizabeth Muelrath, her son, Larry Johnson, and her husband, Earl Parks.
