Sandra, age 77, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on March 6, 1945 in England to the late Albert & Florence (Merchant) Ruse. She married Charles Whipple at the Methodist Church in Standish in 1973. He survives her.
She was employed at numerous restaurants in the local area, she had a great passion for cooking as well as owning and operating Sandy’s Chuck Wagon at numerous events, fairs and auctions. Sandy enjoyed camping, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren, most of all she just loved having family and friends visiting.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Charles of 52 years and her children Rose (Pat) Huizer, Teresa Treichel, Sandy (Dwight Sadlik) Harrington and a son, Charles (CJ) (Annemarie Reno) Whipple Jr. grandchildren; Heather, Holly, Hope, Shawn, Jeremy, Amber, Joshua, Ashley, Amanda, Andrew, Drew, Austin, Tiffany, Tasha, and Taylor and Landon Whipple, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Tammy Finkbinder, a brother and three sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 7 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chapel with cremation to follow. Friends may visit at the chapel in Standish on Tuesday, from 2 pm until time of service at 7pm.
