Rita Elizabeth. Allumi, age 93, of Prudenville passed away on Saturday November 26, 2022 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
Rita was born on March 13, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Leonard & Elizabeth Mallon. She worked as a clerk for Kronner’s Pharmacy for many years. Rita was married on November 20, 1948 in Detroit to Samuel Allumi. They moved to Prudenville in 1989 from Dearborn Heights, and spent the rest of their years in the community.
Rita is survived by her Son, Michael (Cheryl) Allumi of Houghton Lake; Grandchildren, Christopher Allumi of Novi, Matthew Allumi of Interlochen and Nathan (Samantha) Allumi of Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX; Sisters, Theresa Twardy of Warren and Vivian Foley of Dearborn Heights. Rita was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Samuel Allumi; Son, Samuel D. Allumi: Brother, Jerry Mallon and Sister, Val Mallon.
Per Rita’s request, cremation has taken place and interment will be with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in the Spring of 2023. Memorial contributions in memory of Rita are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
