Janet Marie Moore, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at her home in Alger, MI surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1944 in Hazard, KY to Lawrence and Girley (Sexton) Combs.
Janet lived in Alger for the past 24 years formerly of Plymouth, MI. She married Clifford Moore on July 25, 1977 in Wise, VA.
Janet worked as a waitress in her younger years and cleaned offices. She was a member of Pentecostal Church in Plymouth. She enjoyed walks in the park, shopping, cooking, and the outdoors.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Clifford Moore of Alger; son, Eddie (Arlene) Reed of Hazard; stepson, Steven Moore of Warren, MI; stepdaughter, Theresa (David) Waun of Walkerton, IN; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Theresa Fay Reed, stepson, Gary Lee Moore, and siblings.
Visitation at Maggard’s Mountain View Chapel, 352 Roy Campbell Drive, Hazard, KY will begin on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Jeff, KY. Jessie Paul Wagers will officiate.
