Diane Boehmer, 79, of Prudenville

Diane Lee  Boehmer, 79, of  Prudenville passed away on Friday October 21, 2022 at her home. Diane was born on July 4, 1943 in Pontiac, Michigan to John and Geraldine (Piper) Peterson.

Setting out on her life upon graduation from high school, Diane and her loving husband, Manfred Boehmer were married  in October, 1982 in Marion, MI. Diane and her husband were the proud owners of the Swiss Inn, Bay Breeze Inn, and Northern Linen Service in the Prudenville area for many years.

She loved her animals as much as her animals loved her. Every animal was one of her own, from her family’s cats and dogs, to the local wildlife always found themselves drawn to her. Aside from operating her three businesses, being a full time mother of three, and a devoted wife, Diane loved to make trips to Florida, or anywhere with a coastline, to find the best sea shells. Some of her favorite treats were tapioca pudding and Bear Claw donuts.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Manfred Boehmer; Children, Brigitte D. (Matt) Doehring, Ramon R. Beaulieu, and Renee K. Beaulieu; Grandchildren, Travis (Yijing Huang) Beaulieu, Krista Doehring, and Kayla Doehring; Sister, Carol (Ray) Kirby; Sister-in-Law, Jean Peterson; and Nephews, Greg Kirby and Rod Kirby. Diane was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Geraldine Peterson; and her Brother, Richard Peterson.

Funeral Services for Diane Lee Boehmer will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Christler Funeral Home- Prudenville Chapel, with Rev. Paul Kruse officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 25, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Diane are asked to be directed to her family in honor of her life.
