Sandra Clara Gennrich, age 73, of Roscommon, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at her home in the presence and comfort of her family.
Sandy was born June 29, 1949, in Hamtramck, Michigan, the daughter of Bernard and Clara (Wyrembelski) Kendzierski.
Sandy married Robert Gennrich on April 18, 1975, St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
Sandy was a member of the CCW of St. Michael’s, and had served as a president of the organization. Sandy’s favorite season was fall. She loved the colors and taking pictures of the trees and the leaves. She also enjoyed birdwatching…mostly the chickadees. Sandy will be remembered for her love of crafts. She enjoyed painting and kilning ceramics. Sandy loved to go walking, especially through the trails behind her and Bob’s home. Sandy’s family will always remember her wonderful ability to cook. Most importantly, Sandy’s grandkids and her son, Bobby, were her passion.
Sandy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob, of 47 years; her son Bob (Meghan) Gennrich; grandchildren: Gavin, Gracie, and Emmie; sister-in-law, Connie Kendzierski; special cousin, Brenda Broka; special friend, Mitch Reynolds; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bernie Kendzierski.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00-8:00 PM, on Sunday, October 2, 2022, with Rosary at 7:30 PM, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, on Monday, October 3, 2022, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 104 North 6th Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653. Celebrant is Father Jerry Hunko.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made in Sandy’s name to St. Michael Catholic Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
